Comparison

A CompanyCam alternative, if what you actually want is to stop driving out

Every alternative on page one is a cheaper place to put your crew's job photos. Useful, but it is not the expensive part of your week. The expensive part is the drive to a lead that was never real.

This is not a documentation tool. Keep the one you have.

Everything on page one is a cheaper camera roll

Search CompanyCam alternative and you get fieldd, SiteCam, Timemark, QuoteIQ, a roofing software roundup, a ranked guide from scanmanifold and the usual Capterra and Crozdesk listings. Read them in a row and they are all answering one question. Where can I put my crew's job photos for less money.

That is a fair question and a few of those tools answer it well. It is just not the question most remodelers are actually chewing on when they start shopping, and nobody on that page one asks the other one.

What CompanyCam is, including the parts people miss

CompanyCam is job site photo documentation and it is good at it. Photos and video stamped with the time and the place, sorted by project, annotated, shared with the crew and the customer, checklists and reports on top, and a long list of integrations into the trade CRMs.

It is also more than a camera now, and the comparison pages tend to skip this. There is a price book, invoicing and proposals, proposal drafting from voice notes and photos, and on the top plan a LiDAR room measurement taken from inside the camera. If somebody tells you CompanyCam cannot measure a room, they have not looked recently.

The one thing none of them changes

Here is what CompanyCam and fieldd and SiteCam and every other alternative on that list have in common. The phone is in your hand. Somebody on your payroll is standing in the room when the capture happens, which means somebody drove there.

For documentation that is exactly right. You cannot photograph the progress of a job from your truck. It is the wrong shape for the first appointment, where you do not yet know whether the job is real.

ScanToScope is for that first appointment and nothing else. You send the homeowner a link. She opens it on her own phone with nothing to install and captures the room herself. A recent iPhone Pro measures it with LiDAR. Any other phone falls back to photos plus typed room sizes, and the photos upload one at a time as she takes them. A vision model reads them, a model writes the scope brief, renders are generated, and the scope prices against your own cost book.

We do not replace CompanyCam. If you cancel your documentation tool because of this page, you will regret it by Thursday.

Two tools, two moments in the job. Most people who buy ours keep theirs.

1

One link, no appointment

Send it when the lead comes in. No calendar tetris and no windshield time to find out the kitchen is a galley with a load bearing wall in the middle of it.

2

She captures it herself

Nothing to install. Photos upload one at a time as she takes them, which matters in a house with bad signal.

3

It comes back as a scope, not a gallery

A model writes up what is there. Renders are generated so she can picture the finished room.

4

You decide whether to drive

The scope prices against your cost book. Quote the good ones, send a number on the small ones, and let somebody else chase the tire kickers.

What this costs

Two scans free with no card. Solo is 79 a month for one user and twenty scans. Crew is 149 for five users and sixty scans. Shop is 349 for unlimited users and two hundred scans. Extra scans are four dollars and nothing locks.

Jobs your own people capture on site are not metered on any plan, which is the point of the seats. Yearly billing is two months free. Founding pricing is locked for as long as the account stays active and it closes on November 30.

There are no CompanyCam prices on this page on purpose. They run several tiers with per seat charges and an annual discount, and a competitor's number copied into a web page goes stale fast. Read their pricing page.

Questions before you switch anything

Should I cancel CompanyCam?

Probably not. It documents the jobs you have won and we measure the leads you have not driven to. Those are different line items in your month and only one of them is a drive.

CompanyCam can measure a room now. Why would I need this?

Because that measuring happens on your phone, in the room, after the drive. Ours happens on the homeowner's phone, before it. The capability is similar. The moment is not, and the moment is the whole cost.

Does the homeowner need an iPhone Pro?

It is better with one, because LiDAR measures the room properly. Any other phone falls back to photos plus room sizes she types in, and you still get the photos, the scope and a price without leaving the yard.

Does AI set the price?

No. AI reads the room and writes the scope. The price is arithmetic against your own cost book, line by line, with every quantity traceable. Nobody averages your market for you.

Will it push into my CRM?

Through Zapier, yes. That is the integration we have and we are not going to pretend it is more than that.
