ScanToScopeBackLast updated September 26, 2026. This is a plain language draft and has not yet been reviewed by an attorney.
ScanToScope is operated by Craftline Remodeling LLC. This policy covers two groups of people: the contractors and designers who hold accounts, and the homeowners who use a scan link one of them sent.
Name, business name, email, phone if you give it, your logo and branding, your service area and work types, the rates you enter for estimating, and billing details. Card numbers go straight to Stripe and we never see or store them.
Whatever the scan link asks for: the room measurements the phone produces, photos of the spaces being remodeled, the project address, the answers typed or spoken about the work, and contact details so the contractor can follow up. The scan runs on the phone itself using Apple's RoomPlan and the camera. We do not track location in the background, we do not read the phone's photo library, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking in the scanner.
To produce the plans, takeoff, brief and draft estimate for the contractor who sent the link, to run the account, and to support and improve the service. Nothing else.
Only the contractor's own company. Every project is walled off per account. We do not sell data, we do not share it between accounts, we do not use homeowners' details to market anything, and we do not train public AI models on your photos or projects. A small number of service providers process data for us under contract: our hosting and database (Vercel and Neon), file storage, payment processing (Stripe), email and text delivery, and the AI providers that sort scope answers and produce the optional render. Where a project is delivered to a contractor's own Google Drive, the contractor controls that copy.
Project data and photos stay while the account is active, because contractors refer back to old jobs. When an account closes we keep the data for thirty days for export, then delete it. A homeowner or a contractor can ask for a project and its photos to be deleted sooner and we will do it, usually within a few days.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@scantoscope.com. If you are a homeowner who scanned a room, you can also just ask your contractor and they can delete the project themselves. Florida residents and residents of states with privacy statutes have these rights under law, and we apply them to everyone.
The service is for businesses and adult homeowners. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
Data is encrypted in transit, scan links are long random tokens that are not guessable, and access to production data is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data we will tell you.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
